Detailed Description of Good and / or Services
The Sound Shop is a business in the Pro Audio / Sound industry that markets professional audio equipment.
Delivery/ Shipping policy
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, orders will be processed within 2 days and delivered (within 5 working days) - confirmed by way of tracking number via email/ sms. Delivery in South Africa s free of charge to total sales of over R2500. Some extreme outlying areas may incur an extra delivery charge. Items (such as flight cases) and other indicated products carry an additional delivery fee. National deliveries of purchases over R2500 are delivered by Dawn Wing Couriers. Purchases under R2500 are sent via SA Post. (Postal deliveries may take upto 10 days)
Return and Refunds Policy
The provision of goods and services by The Sound Shop is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, The Sound Shop will refund the client in full within 30 days.
Cancellation of orders by the client for whatever other reason than unavailability will attract a 20% administration fee. - in this case, The Sound Shop will refund the client in within 30 days (less the admin fee)
- If you have received the incorrect stock - It must remain un-opened and returned in its original condition (ie: still sealed and un-opened) Shipping costs will be carried by the Sound Shop (economy shipping - Shipping costs must be confirmed and agreed upon with The Sound Shop before shipping. (The Sound Shop reserves the right not to carry courier costs if not agreed on before shipping)
- If you have received the correct stock but it is faulty - It must be returned in its original condition (ie: re-sealed with clear shipping tape, with all original packaging, manuals, etc) Shipping costs will be carried by the the customer - All items (excluding speakers) carry a 1 year carry in Manufacturers warrantee. The item will either be repaired, exchanged, or credited Refunds carry a 20% admin and restocking fee (subject to relevant agent's discretion)
- If you have received the correct but you want to exchange it for different stock - It must be returned in its original condition (ie: still sealed and un-opened) Shipping costs will be carried the customer. Return shipping will also be charged to the customer.
The Sound Shop reserves the right to cancel any order if fraud, misconduct, and/ or dangerous delivery locations are selected. (20% admin charge applies)
Customer Privacy Policy
TheSoundShop shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Payment Options Accepted
Payment may be made via Visa, Master Card, Diners or American Express credit cards or by bank transfer into the The Sound Shop bank account, the details of which will be provided on request. Due to the fact that there are many fraudsters trying to purchase regularly - cash payments, EFT, and credit card payments will only be regarded as "funds clear & available" 24hrs after it has reflected in The Sound Shop's account.
Credit Card Acquiring and Security
Credit card transactions will be acquired for The Sound Shop by Virtual Card Service (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for Nedbank of South Africa. ShopDirect uses SSL3 and credit card information is stored per Visa and Mastercard guidelines on the website. Users may go to www.shopdirect.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
Customer Details Separate from Card Details
Customer details will be stored by The Sound Shop separately from card details which are entered by the client on ShopDirect’s secure site. For more detail on ShopDirect refer to www.shopdirect.co.za .
Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is ZAR (South African Rand).
Responsibility
The Sound Shop takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer services and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
Variation
The Sound Shop may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
Export Restriction
The offering on this website is available to South African and International clients.
